That October, they debuted it at the Bend Design Conference, and were greeted enthusiastically by long lines of people wanting a tour.

The new Hiatus Roanoke development was just underway, and their dream home wasn’t far out of reach. The west Bend development features ten two-bedroom homes perched on a hill, each 1,200-sqaure feet in size and expertly designed to be energy efficient. It’s the second development by Hiatus Homes, following Hiatus Benham.

Hiatus Homes is venturing into slightly bigger territory with the Hiatus Roanoke, a development on Bend’s Westside that includes ten 2-bedroom-2 bath homes that top out at 1200 square feet. Up first is Lot 9, which has a 357-square-foot garage – essential for central Oregon and two floors of living space spread over 910 square feet.

The Hiatus Is Part of a New Official Subdivision for Tiny Homes in Oregon

There’s also official tiny house developments, such as this tiny house community that is currently getting off the ground in Bend, Oregon. This new subdivision — the first of its kind in the area, and one of the few in Oregon — comprises of 22 lots where tiny houses with foundations will be designed by Oregon company Tongue & Groove Tiny Homes.
